MOODY MODERN FOURPLEX DESIGN
Smart Design, Bold Details
This fourplex project was all about making the most of a smaller footprint—where every square inch had to count. With compact layouts, especially on the main level, the goal was to create a floorplan that flowed effortlessly while still feeling elevated and intentional.
The kitchen, dining, and living areas were designed to connect seamlessly, anchored by a custom fireplace that ties directly into the kitchen millwork. Panel-ready appliances, hidden storage, and continuous lines between cabinetry and built-ins helped avoid any visual breaks, creating a cohesive and open feel despite the smaller scale.
A bold, tiled hood adds a statement moment in the kitchen, flanked by glass cabinets that bring lightness and balance. The large island offers space for gathering, while dark-stained rift-cut white oak cabinetry and a herringbone-patterned luxury vinyl floor bring texture, contrast, and warmth to the overall design.
This moody modern space may be compact, but it’s proof that smart planning, layered materials, and thoughtful details can deliver high impact—even in tight quarters. A challenging layout turned into a space that feels both functional and full of personality.
